Samsung YP-S5 PMP

Samsung YP-S5 is a slim PMP, a successor to the YP-K5 that was released last year. YP-S5 comes with a 1.8 inch color display, Bluetooth 2.0, Stereo speakers and FM tuners. It still has the 4-way touchpad and a quick access button. A fully charged battery will provides you 25 hours of music or 4 hours of video. It measures 14.95mm thick and weighs just 86 grams. The YP-S5 still available in 2GB and 4GB versions only and will be announced at the IFA 2007 later this week.

Samsung SyncMaster 225UW monitor with 2.0MP Camera

Samsung has released a new 22-inch widescreen LCD monitor, the SyncMaster 225UW aka ‘Webcam UCC Monitor’ in Korea market as it is equipped with a built-in 2M pixel webcam, dual-array microphone and speakers.

It features a 1680 x 1050 resolution, 5ms response time, 700:1 contrast ratio, 300 nits of brightness and viewing angles of up to 160 degrees. Samsung SyncMaster 225UW will be available in Korea at a suggested price of 479,000 KRW ($510).

Synaptics OneTouch Solution in LG Chocolate

Synaptics has announced their configurable OneTouch solution and is shipping in the new LG Chocolate VX8550 sliders. The 2nd generation LG Chocolate phone has a four-button user interface enabled by Synaptics’ OneTouch capacitive solution that provides navigation and function keys. This technology will allows OEMs to create sleek and desirable industrial designs for consumers by enabling thin, flexible and under-plastic solutions.

“Synaptics’ OneTouch offering is a complete end-to-end solution, engineered specifically to help our customers design intuitive and superior capacitive interfaces tailored to their products,” said RK Parthasarathy, product line director at Synaptics.

The new LG V88550 slider is currently in United States through Verizon Wireless.

James Bond to Drive Jaguar XF in Bond22

With news-circles going abuzz, that Ford is likely to sell Aston Martin to another company in the coming months, Aston Martin won’t be James Bond ride anymore. According to a report by Bond fansite MI6, James Bond will be seen driving the Jaguar XF in the next 007 feature film. The Jaguar XF is a forthcoming version of Jaguar’s new C-XF concept car. Ford previewed the car with the C-XF concept this week in Detroit and the XF concept is expected to hit the showrooms sometime in 2008.

Does participation of 200 companies in an exhibition means unveiling of 200 new gadgets and gizmos or other accessories? Well, I don’t know about other exhibition but yes Taipei Computer Application Show, a five-day long exhibition started in Taipei on 2 August will surely offer this.

All set with more than 200 computer and peripherals companies from Taiwan and across the globe, the interesting and desired computer accessories can be grabbed from here as the show will be equipped with an exceptional display of an array of products.

And this over populated hall is a clear reflection that the exhibition is inviting more than 200 visitors. Of course, one need not doubt this.
