Launched in Tokyo on 2 August 07, the camera comes packed with a pre-installed YouTube Capture software. The software will enable you to share the videos created into your community by simply uploading the videos to your website.

India’s first touch-screen based dual SIM mobile phone

The long wait of Indian nationals for touch-screen based dual SIM mobile phone has come to halt as Samsung Telecommunications has today unveiled the much-desired phone in Mumbai.

Against the ordinary phones that have single SIM slots, this phone has two SIM slots and features 2.2 TFT touch screen, 1.3mega pixel camera, micro sd card slot and an mp3.aac+ player.

Price: Rs 11,999 ($296.27)

Dynaudio Marks 30th Anniversary with $16K Sapphire Speakers

In order to commemorate the company’s 30th anniversary, Dynaudio has let loose 1000 pairs of new Sapphire speakers, which are the highest end speakers ever from the company.

Boasting one of the most distinctive loudspeaker cabinet designs ever, the Sapphire comes in a satin-gloss lacquer finish that shows the finest detail in the cabinet’s glamorous wood grain.

The maple cabinets come in a choice of four finishes, Cherry, Mocha, Ivory and Bordeaux. The technical specs include a 28mm tweeter, a 15cm sub-woofer and two 20cm woofers. The Dynaudio’s Sapphire speakers will be available this fall and will set you back somewhere around $16,000.

Miles XS 500 - $30,000 Electric Car Goes 80-mph

There is a lot of buzz surrounding hybrid electric cars right now and if all goes well, a company called Miles Automotive Group is hoping to bring a cost-effective battery-powered sedan to the market by 2009. Some sites are even claiming it to be an electric car for the common man. Dubbed XS 500, the car will go 80mph, travel 120 miles at 60mph, and cost $30,000. If we believe what the firm is saying, you can get a full charge in six hours by simply plugging the car into a normal wall socket. The car is about as fast as GM’s late-90s era electric car, the EV 1. Anyway, it will be interesting to see the XS 500’s fate as other big names, including GM and Tesla Motors, have announced plans to introduce vehicles into the low-cost autos segment.

Elvis Presley’s Grand Piano 1930 on EBay for $250,000

Elvis Presley died on August 16, 1977 at his home, Graceland, in Memphis, but his memories are still alive and now his fans from around the world are flocking to eBay to collect a special memorabilia from this famous musician. Up for auction at eBay is Elvis’ white Knabe & Co. Baby Grand piano, which is one of the original furnishings at Graceland in Memphis. The piano was originally played by reputed names such as WC Handy, Duke Ellington, Count Basie and Cab Calloway in the Ellis Auditorium & Performance Hall in Memphis.Elvis bought the instrument in 1957 and customized it to his liking - white with gold highlighted trim. The Grand Piano remained in the music room at Graceland for twelve years. The historical piano was used for recording of over 50 albums by various artists including Jerry Lee Lewis. But, just being his fan is not enough to grab his piano, you better check your bank balance as the starting bid sits at $250,000.

Warhol’s Iconic Liz Taylor Portrait Coming to Christie’s

Although, the much-hyped art sale from auction house Christie’s will not commence until November 13 but, the art lovers all around the globe have started murmuring about the Andy Warhol’s iconic Liz Taylor portraits, which will be up for auction. The painting was created in 1963 and is part of Warhol’s celebrity portraits collection that also includes Marilyn Monroe and Jackie Kennedy. The owner of the artistic piece is actor Hugh Grant who bought it six years back for a whopping $3.5 million at Sotheby’s in New York. Now, the proud chap is thinking of the Liz portrait to fetch somewhere between $25 million and $35 million.
